We are looking for a Platform & Analytics Engineer (Python / Data Science)  to join our client, outsourcing/outstaffing company with more than 8 years of experience in web and mobile application development with a team of more than 120 specialists from 6 countries.

Project domain: Mobility & Transportation Technology

The project is focused on developing technological solutions for the mobility industry, covering aviation, shipping, and railway transportation. The company leverages modern software and hardware technologies to optimize vehicle management, enhance the efficiency of logistics processes, and improve the user experience.

👨🏻‍💻You can be part of the following team: Engineering manager, Senior Backend Devs, QAs,  PO, Client CTO.

🌎Team time zone: EEA or Switzerland

We expect

🎯 

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Python programming.
  • Familiarity with FastAPI or Quart for API Development.
  • Proficient with PostgreSQL (SQL, schema design, query optimization).
  • Comfortable with MongoDB or other NoSQL systems.
  • Competent in data wrangling and analysis using Pandas/NumPy.
  • Good working knowledge of statistics and experiment frameworks (e.g. A/B testing, causal inference, experiment design).
  • Basic experience with CI/CD and containerization (e.g. Docker).
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.

Nice to have

👑

  • Familiarity with core AWS services (e.g. Cloudwatch, ECS, S3, RDS).
  • Experience with data visualization (Plotly, matplotlib, seaborn, or BI tools).
  • AI/LLM tooling integration (e.g. OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, agent design, AI-assisted developer workflows).
  • Previous experience shaping or extending internal developer platforms.
  • Startup or small-team background where versatility was key.
  • Experience with Flutter (for Web) for the client-side of the developer platform.

🎯 

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Python and related technologies in distributed serverless environments (ideally AWS).
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with microservice architecture.
  • At least 2 years of experience programming high-performance processes in SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience  with AWS SageMaker or similar and have:

– deployed scalable ML workloads using SageMaker, RDS, Lambda, and ECS.

– experience with SageMaker Pipelines, Endpoints, and Studio for managing automated workflows and real-time inferencing with the data warehouse.

  • You have hands on experience in Time Series Forecasting using one of the following – ARIMA, Prophet, XGBoost, DeepAR.
  •  Predictive Analytics: you have built and fine-tuned predictive models for time series tasks such as next-week sales forecasts, handling issues like over/under-prediction on a continuous basis. AB testing on a continuous basis.
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in .NET Core will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • To build highly distributed serverless systems.
  • Time Series Forecasting and Predictive Analytics: to build and fine-tune predictive models for time series tasks such as next-week sales forecasts, handling issues like over/under-prediction on a continuous basis. AB testing on a continuous basis.
  • Building new highly distributed micro & macro-service backend applications for use in the airline industry.
  • Working with an existing team of expert engineers & others using technologies such as
  • .net core, SQL, AWS lambda, code pipeline CI/CD.
  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment procedures to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Utilize your expertise to build scalable applications that meet performance and reliability requirements.
  • Work as a team player, demonstrating a highly motivated, can-do approach to achieve project goals.
  • Apply your experience to thrive in a large-scale environment, addressing challenges with efficiency and adaptability.
  • Demonstrate experience in writing unit tests to ensure the reliability and maintainability of the codebase.
